Family · high repeat ridership
Family Roller Coaster
The ride that fills the park on a Tuesday, not just opening weekend.
A family coaster is judged on repeat ridership, not on thrill. Height restriction, boarding speed and cycle time decide whether a family rides it twice or walks past.

Is this the right ride for your site?
Four conditions. If you cannot tick at least three, a different model will serve you better.
- Your park needs capacity for guests who cannot ride the big coaster
- You want a ride with a low height restriction to widen the addressable audience
- Your operations team can handle continuous loading
- You would rather buy throughput than height

Capital band: volume ride
Family coasters deliver the lowest cost per rider-hour in most parks. The budget conversation is about train count and station design, because those set throughput.

Questions buyers ask first
01What height restriction is typical?
It is set by your market standards and the restraint design, and confirmed during design. The lower the restriction, the larger the addressable audience, which is usually the point of buying this category.
02How many riders per hour can it deliver?
Throughput is a function of train capacity, cycle time and station design. It is calculated from your target, not quoted as a fixed figure.
03Can it be installed without closing the park?
Yes, in most cases. Installation is phased around a fenced work zone and commissioning happens outside operating hours.
