103 m Ferris Wheel

A destination wheel — the reason people travel to the site.

At 103 m the wheel stops being an attraction inside a park and becomes the reason the park exists. Everything about the project scales: structural engineering, foundation, permitting, crane plan and operating organisation.

01

Is this the right ride for your site?

Four conditions. If you cannot tick at least three, a different model will serve you better.

  • You are building a destination, not adding a ride
  • You have a waterfront or city-centre site with clear sightlines
  • You can secure the permitting and the crane plan early
  • You intend to operate year-round with lighting and events

Capital band: destination landmark

At this scale the wheel is one line in a larger development budget. The variables that move the number most are cabin specification, lighting scope and foundation conditions — not the wheel diameter itself.

Questions buyers ask first

01How long does a 100 m class wheel take end to end?

From feasibility to opening, typically 18–30 months, with permitting and foundation works as the variables that most often move the date.

02Do we need a specialist crane contractor?

Yes. The erection plan is normally developed with a heavy-lift contractor, and it is one of the first things to price because it can govern the schedule.

03Can the wheel be branded and lit for events?

Yes, and it should be planned at design stage — lighting and media facades are structurally and electrically integrated, not added later.
