A large roller coaster or Ferris wheel doesn’t simply go from factory to scenic area with just “loading and shipping.” Oversized components—often over ten meters long and weighing several tons—require advance planning at every step.
Pre-Transport Planning
The technical team develops a transport plan based on dimensions, weight, and quantity. Which parts to disassemble, which route to take, and whether an oversize permit is needed—all confirmed in advance. Route surveys check bridge height limits, turning radii, and toll widths.
Loading & Securing
Oversized components are transported on low-bed or hydraulic trailers. Workers use brackets, wooden blocks, and straps to secure them, adding rain covers and anti-rust treatment. Precision parts are individually packed and marked. Some projects use GPS tracking.
Lifting
Once equipment arrives, the real challenge begins. The team confirms foundation acceptance, crane capacity, and lifting points. Truck or crawler cranes are used, with a dedicated director—first a test lift, then the official lift. Operations stop in excessive wind.
Installation
For a Ferris wheel: foundation → columns → wheel rim → cabins → wiring → commissioning. For a coaster: columns first, then track splicing, then train and braking system. After installation, no-load runs, load tests, and safety checks are performed before delivery.
