Overview
The suspended sightseeing car is an elevated ride where passenger cabins hang from a track supported by columns. Passengers enjoy views from height as the cabins move along the track. The ride operates smoothly and quietly, making it suitable for family-oriented parks and attractions. Track length and height are customizable to suit your site.
Design and build
The ride consists of columns, track, drive cars, and suspended cabins. Each drive car has two travel wheels, each with an independent drive system. If one drive system fails, the other continues to operate, enhancing reliability. The cabins are designed for 6 passengers each. The number of cabins is customizable, with a recommended ratio of 8 cabins per kilometer of track. The design service life is 20 years for the overall equipment and 10 years for the cabins.
Site and installation
Track length, height, and footprint are customized to your site. The standard track height is 6 meters, but it can be customized. The equipment level is B for track heights below 10 meters and A for heights of 10 meters or more. Power supply requires 3N+PE 380V/220V 50Hz. Installed capacity depends on the number of cabins. The ride is designed to the standards required by your market, confirmed per project.
Operating notes
The ride includes a triple-redundant anti-collision system: millimeter-wave radar for real-time distance measurement and interlocking speed control, onboard lidar for close-range obstacle warning, and track photoelectric limit for emergency braking. These systems work together to automatically slow and stop the ride in case of obstacles or sudden stops, with braking distance controlled within 0.5 meters. Cabin doors are interlocked with departure. Emergency rescue procedures are documented, and with trained staff and proper equipment, full evacuation can be completed within 1 hour. At least 3 trained operators and 1 maintenance technician are required for rescue operations.
