Overview
The 42m Ferris Wheel is a B-grade observation ride in the Ferris wheel series. It carries up to 96 passengers in 24 cabins, each seating four people. The ride completes one revolution in 9.2 minutes, giving guests a long, steady view from height. It is intended for amusement parks, attractions, and mixed-use developments where a high-capacity observation ride is required.
Design and build
The ride is classified as B-grade and built for a service life of 15 years. The structure is designed to the standards required by your market, confirmed per project. Cabins are arranged symmetrically around the wheel to balance loads. The drive and control systems are selected for reliable daily operation and are covered by the project-specific documentation.
- 24 cabins, 4 passengers each, total 96 riders.
- 9.2 minutes per revolution for a comfortable ride.
- B-grade equipment classification.
- Service life of 15 years under normal operating conditions.
Site and installation
The equipment projection measures 40 m by 27 m, while the foundation footprint is 24 m by 27 m. This allows the ride to fit sites with limited ground space. The foundation design is provided per project and must be adapted to local soil conditions. Installation requires a power supply of 3N+PE 380/220V 50Hz. Electrical capacity is 26 kVA without air conditioning and 79 kVA with air conditioning. Site preparation, access, and erection are planned with the client's contractor.
Operating notes
The ride operates with a fixed cycle time, which helps manage queues and throughput. Daily checks and periodic maintenance are required as set out in the operation manual. The 15-year service life assumes adherence to the maintenance schedule and normal use. Passenger loading and unloading are managed by trained staff. The ride is designed to the standards required by your market, confirmed per project. Spare parts and technical support are available through the project agreement.
